AstroBean Café Branding
AstroBean was born from a love of two things: the wonder of outer space and the universal comfort of a good cup of coffee. Personal project.
The café’s founders, a pair of space enthusiasts (a former astrophysicist and a creative barista), wanted to merge their passions into a one-of-a-kind experience. Their motivation was to create more than just a café—they wanted a space (pun intended) where people could escape the routine of daily life and feel inspired by the mysteries of the cosmos.

For AstroBean’s logo, I wanted to blend celestial elements with coffee to capture the café’s cosmic theme. I explored ideas like a crescent moon, a coffee cup with a swirling galaxy and a rocket. After experimenting with different concepts, I chose a rocket and a coffee bean—the rocket represents space and exploration, while the bean keeps the focus on coffee. The final design is simple yet playful, reflecting AstroBean’s mission: fuelling curiosity, one cup at a time!
Palette
The colour palette is bold, playful and full of cosmic energy. Inspired by deep space and neon-lit galaxies, it blends deep violet and black with vibrant pops of cerise, blue and orange, while the soft accent of magnolia keep it grounded.
